Gallery of Fine Arts

Gallery Merz is located on the eastern end of Long Island, in the heart of the Hamptons’ artist community. Our goal is to familiarize the public with thought-provoking works by both local and established artists, in a variety of different mediums, that will challenge the viewer into expanding his or her aesthetic horizons (without alienating them) by exhibiting artwork that is adventurous but still accessible.

What is “Merz”? We take our name from an art movement founded by German artist Kurt Schwitters, whose works are playful but which also carry a more serious desire to create new objects and expression from the detritus of society.
